Abandoned Cement Plant Dayton, Ohio

Abandoned Cement Plant

For months this abandoned cement factory had been catching my curiosity. One day after work I was able to get the opportunity to get a closer look. I noticed the ruins of this place form the highway and was able to take a back road to get close. The property has an office building and the silos with a control tower nearby. I was alone on this trip and felt uneasy by this place. Not that I believe in ghost, this place is just creepy. The way the wind blew through the silos was chilling. Despite my uneasiness, I had to take a closer look.

Inside Cement Plant

The inside of this place is hauntingly beautiful. I snapped some photos and navigated through the building. The machinery is mainly intact and there are leftover supplies. It seems there was little clean up after the factory was abandoned. Judging by the condition it appears to have been abandoned over twenty years ago. It overall felt structurally sound and relatively safe.

I was fascinated by the silos. They are fairly tall and dizzying to look at. I knew I had to try to get to the top and see the bridge up close. I navigated through the basement and made my way up the silos. There was cement dust everywhere.

I could see the footprints of previous explorers. There was so much cement dust it was like snow. Luckily I had a mask because this place was dusty. I continued to the top.

I was surprised by the top of the silos. The design was interesting and weird. The wind at this point was whipping through the top and the building was making a lot of noises. I felt uneasy but my adrenaline and curiosity kept me going. I looked over and saw the bridge.
